Mantra and Harmonies with Maitrisara
Saturday 26 July
from 10:30 – 1pm, doors from 10am
Mantras are a way to evoke and connect with the qualities of Enlightened beings, as Sangharakshita has said;
“A mantra is the sound-symbol of a particular aspect of Enlightenment.”
In Triratna, there is a strong emphasis on integrating both the head and the heart. Mantras are a means to engage the emotional energies, they foster faith and emotional openness. Chanting mantras helps move the mind from its ordinary, discursive state to a more meditative, receptive, and centered awareness.
No singing experience necessary. No need to read music.
You’re very welcome, no matter how long or how much you’ve been coming to the centre. Open to all women and those who identify as female or non-binary, who have completed an introductory course.
From 2025, these mornings will be every fourth Saturday of the month due to clashes with festival dates.
