Dharma Night: The Buddha’s teachings for everyone

Entering the river of the Dharma gazing at the tree of refuge and respect

Hosted by Dharmashalin 18 July – 29 August

An image can speak to us more deeply than an idea or concept. In this series we’ll be evoking the stream of energy flowing through the Buddha towards us and the vast imaginal space beyond him by exploring the Tree of refuge and respect. This depicts a lineage of knowledge and insight through Sangharakshita, some of his main teachers and prominent figures in Buddhist history, and a more mythical realm of Bodhisattvas. The series will finish marking the more human steps we can take on the Buddhist journey exploring the significance of Ordination and celebrating more Mitra Ceremonies.

Every 7 weeks there will be a new theme, along with pujas and guest speakers. Each session is still stand alone, so you don’t have to come to every one in the series. No need to book. No charge – please make a donation. Dharma night runs from 7:15 – 9:15pm every Thursday evening. Doors open at 7pm for a chance to chat and have tea before hand. Open to anyone who has completed an introductory course.
