MORNING OF MINDFUL PRACTICE SESSHIN
Now with Abhayadhara

Invitation to stay for lunch afterwards the sesshin – doors open from 10am
Please book here if you intend on coming  (this helps us know numbers for lunch)

This is a chance to come together as a community and do some silent meditation practice together, finishing with a shared lunch. Great for anyone who has an established meditation practice, needs to reinvigorate or re-inspire a practice.

We will be practising mindfulness in each of the four postures the buddha suggested – lying down, walking, standing and seated. We will keep moving between these postures up to lunchtime, separated by a single bell. Afterwards, at lunch people are invited to bring some food to share. Please contact Alice if you could volunteer to make a soup: alice.evans.bbc@gmail.com

The word ‘Sesshin’ translates as ‘touching the heart mind’, and is an intensive way of practicing from the Zen tradition.

All our classes and events are run by donation, there is no fixed fee. We invite you to make a donation if you can. Please watch this video to understand more deeply what this means.
