Learn to Meditate in a Day

Interested in learning to meditate but unable to attend our evening courses? This day is designed for you! Perfect for anyone who is trying meditation for the first time. Also great if you’d like to refresh your skills. A whole day on the basics of meditation.

No charge – please make a donation. Tea and coffee provided, but please bring your own vegetarian lunch.

The day will include:
– Presentation and discussion on the benefits of meditation.
– Some demonstrations about how to sit comfortably in meditation.
– An introduction to two meditation practices – mindfulness of breathing and a meditation based on cultivating positive emotion.
– You will be led through the two meditations and there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion in small groups.
We teach Buddhist meditation and contextualise it as such. Like all our introductory events, the day is open to all and no assumptions are made about people’s faith.
